Birsa Agriculture University Adopts Villages to Train Farmers

Ranchi: Birsa Agriculture University in Jharkhand has adopted Nagri and Ekamba villages in Ranchi district with a view to developing them as model agricultural villages.

Under the project the university will offer free training on new farming techniques and necessary resources to the farmers of the village so that the villages could be showcased as a model to other farmers

In the 1990s, Birsa Agriculture University, which has 36 years of research and teaching in agriculture and allied sciences, had adopted Belangi village in Ranchi for supporting the farmers.

The farmers will be imparted training and correlated activities for a period ranging from three months to ten months.
